Enjoy your Retirement

Jeremy asked me to make a card that was  bigger than my normal A2 size for a guy at work who is retiring this week. The size of this card is a 5x7. The image was found on Google and I printed it out twice so I could pop up the guy on the hammock. I used kraft cardstock for my mat along with some textured cardstock in green. I cut a piece of burlap to make it more "guy" looking and took my distress tool to the edges of the image. I don't have a lot of experience with guy cards but I think it turned out pretty good :o)

Thanks for stopping in,see you soon :o)

Stampin Up! ~ Thank You Criss Cross cards

I finally tried my  hand at making a Criss Cross card! In fact, it was so easy and cute that I went ahead and made twelve of them :o) Two in each color of the Polka Dot Parade DSP. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Rich Razzleberry. I used the Perfect Blend stamp set for my cup and stamped it in Baked Brown Sugar. I did some paper piecing with the DSP on the cups and used the Word Window punch to create the "stick". I also used the Artisan Label punch to create my "tab" on my pull out cards.

Waterfall Folio - Hike and Seek

This Waterfall Folio I made to house pictures of event we took Ty and Caleb to last year called Hike and Seek. It's a two mile, or so, semi hike with some activity stops along the way. It  was fun but when you have gone once, that is enough :o) It comes around every year but I don't think we will do it again. I had only taken 17 photos and that was just enough to put inside this album. The papers I used are from a Paper Studio pack called Great Outdoors. It was perfect for this! I cut some of the elements from the paper to go along with it and used an Action Wobble for my "compass" piece. The letters I cut using my Cricut and the Don Juan Font cartridge.

I have a video look through here with photos added :o)

Waterfall Folio - Halloween

Today I have a new mini that I learned and totally love! This is designed by Ginger (My Sisters Scrapper) over on YouTube. Here tutorial is so easy to follow and these are great for any small event or holiday that you have a handful of pictures for :o) This one is going to my little brother Chance for his Halloween photos this year. I used an older stack of paper from K&Company called Spooktacular along with some chipboard pieces from the same collection. The Beware and Haunted House were cut out using my Cricut and the Create A Critter 2 cartridge. The fenced edge is from a Martha Stewart Halloween Punch.

Pirate Composition Notebook

Here is a notebook I covered for a little boy named JD. He is starting to draw shapes and learn how to write letters so I thought this would be great for him to have. He absolutely loved it and his mom reported that he even slept with it the first night so he could draw circles as soon as he woke up, too cute! The paper I used is from a DCWV stack called All About Boys. His name I cut using my Cricut and the Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge. I inked all around the book using Crumb Cake from SU! and Kraft cardstock from Recollections was used for my spine :o)

Mickey Mouse - Wish Big

Hi All!

Here is a card I made for little munckin brother who just turned 2 in July :o) He absolutely loves Mickey Mouse, shock shock I know, hee hee. Soooo, I just had to make a Mickey Mouse wobble card! I used my trusty Cricut for this one, Mickey was  cut from the Mickey Font cartridge and the star was cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge. The twine is from Trendy Twine, I believe it is called Disney mix, or something like that :o) The sentiment came from a SU! stamp set called A Dozen Thoughts and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Modern Label Punch from SU! and layered the pieces. The tiny Mickey heads are from a super tiny punch. Using a white gel pen to finish it all off, he loved his card!
