Note from Caleb :o)

My Little Boy Loves Me!

So when Caleb went to bed last night, he got up and turned his light on. Then he was writing on his white board so I asked him what he was doing...I'm writing you a note so don't look, he says. Okay, I'll read it in the morning :o) When he was done he went to bed.
This morning I went into his room to make sure he did what was needed before school and read the note. Melted my heart! I took this picture of it so I will always have it and then he erased it and said I should write him back, so I did :o)

 It reads...
You are the best mom ever. And because you help me when I get sick. And when I get hurt. And you also get me good papers for my cards. And also give me good ideas. And thank you for letting me do some fine arts. I love you so much mom
(fine arts is a before school program once a week he is in for PE)
Mine read...
Caleb, Thank you very much for my note! I loved it! I'm glad you think I am the best because I think you are the best too! I love that you like doing crafts with me and are having fun making cards and videos! I hope you had a super fun day at school :o)

I have had a really good day and it all started with this little note :o)

Well...I contacted her and told her I would make some and mail them to her so she can use for them for a couple of Great Grand Babies coming :o) Here they are... I love this cartridge!

These were cut at 3 inches from the Simply Charmed cartridge, the word "happy baby" was cut at 1 inch and the word "welcome little one" was cut at 1 1/2 inches. Aren't they just too cute!

Super Exciting News!!!!

Sooooo, I MADE A DESIGN TEAM!!!!

I have been wanting to be on a team for a few months now. I tried for a couple and didn't make it so I kept thinking to myself, better luck next time. When the next time came around I was scared to try because of the whole thinking I wasn't good enough thing going on in my brain. Well, I made it! And....I have my little sidekick, Caleb made it also! He is my little video dude for the team :o) He is considered to have a separate place on this team but, I still consider him my partner in crime :o) We are absolutely ecstatic about this opportunity and love the warm welcomes we got as we joined this group of ladies. So...you are probably wondering what team we made aren't you? We are part of ...

Thank you so much Theresa!

We have some pretty cool things coming up so keep your eyes open for some Royal Fun going on!

2nd Update on Dallas

So we went to our follow up appointment from last week with the PA who did Dallas's cast. GREAT news! He is healing very well and got to take the full cast off and transition to a half :o) So exciting! He loves being able to use his elbow again! I think the guy who was putting the new cast on thought we were pretty entertaining. I was taking pictures of the process and we were asking a ton of questions. He just kept laughing so I said, "Can you tell this is our first break"? He answered, "Yeah" and laughed again. I think he will have this one for at least 4 weeks and then get his last one, it will be water proof :o) I am just thrilled he is healing so well!

Chillin'

So...I was in the mood to make a "summer" card. I like spring but, we have had a few thunder storms, which I don't really mind, that have brought on the tornado weather. This freaks me out and where we live we have seen a few and one was only a few miles away a couple of years ago. Until this passes I will be nervous about dark clouds and rain :o) To make myself think better, I made this card. I think I am going to use it as an invite for a BBQ over the summer.

How's it Rollin'

I got in the mood to color again so I pulled out one of my stamp sets that my mom got me for my birthday. This is from the Greeting Farm called Later Sk8ter. Such a fun set when you have boys :o) The papers are from two different paper pads from The Paper Studio at Hobbly Lobby and the twine is homemade. I colored the image with my Crayola colored pencils. I kept it simple, like most of my cards :o) After all, it is a boy card :o) I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend!

Disney Week Project #7

Welcome to my final project for this fun week!

My son Dallas wanted me to make him one of the note card boxes using Mickey Mouse. No problem! The paper used for this was in my Disney stash. The cuts came from the Mickey Font cartridge. The "D" is for his name and the "T" is for his girlfriends name :o) He likes it and that makes me happy!

Thank you all so much for stopping by every day to see my projects! This was a lot of fun, Thank You Janis for inviting me to play :o)

Disney Week Project #6

Welcome to project #6

I wanted to make something with this big Hello Kitty I had cut out from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge a while back. It's too big to fit on a standard card so I thought another wall hanging would be perfect! I left the bottom blank so I can personalize it with a name, which I will cut from the Hello Kitty Font cartridge. I have not fully decided who I am giving this to yet so when I do personalize it, I will update the photo so you can see :o) This is the same size as my Tinkerbell one, 8x8. The polka dot background paper came from a pack of Valentine papers I got at Target in the dollar spot. The lace is the same I used on the Tinkerbell. I punched the flowers and sewed buttons on with some thick embroidery thread. The button on Kitty's bow is from my jar and I tied red embroidery floss through it to make a bow.

Disney Week Project #5

Welcome to project #5

For this project I chose to make another card. You just can't have enough of these laying  around can you? This one actually reminds me of my dad :o) He plays the Smurfs Village on his I-Pad and is at a crazy high level. The image is another coloring page download that I re-sized and colored with my Crayola colored pencils. The sentiment I stamped with some alpha stamps I got at Michael's in the dollar bin a while ago. The background paper is from a Nikki Sivils 6x6 mini pad called Flaming Butterfly, cool name huh? The papers are awesome in this pad :o) I cut out the image with my labels 1 nestabilities die using my cuttlebug and the twine is homemade :o)

Update on Dallas...

So some of you know that my 14 year old son Dallas broke his arm for the first time last Wednesday afternoon. He was riding his skateboard home and a rock stopped his wheel causing him to be thrown off the board. Landing the way he did on his arm, to stop himself from hitting his head on the ground, his forearm broke. He was a trooper I tell ya. No tears at all, just a lot of pain. After going to urgent care and getting a splint and sling for a few days, for the swelling to go down, we thought we were good to go. Had an appointment on Monday to get his cast put on around 10:15 in the morning. Well... after another set of x-rays they told us he couldn't get a cast because the way he broke it. It wasn't going to line up and heal properly so he needed to have a reduction. WHAT? They sent us to another hospital, Children's main hospital. Hours, lots of them, went by and I was getting a lot irritated. Just get it done and over with!  Basically they had to sedate him so they could re-break his arm, my poor guy! He did really well in the long run and doesn't remember much from the sedation, thank goodness! They unfortunately were very busy in the ED department that day. He happened to be one of three kids with a broken arm but, first in line to get fixed. Our total hours spent taking care of this were around 7, yeah, I was pretty exhausted and emotionally drained right along with him. He still has a long way to go to heal and two more casts to go through, he really did a doozie :o) Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he heals well and gets back out there :o)

Disney Week Project #4

 Welcome to project #4

This project is for my room :o) Well...my door anyway. I have planned on making some cuts from the Tinkerbell and Friends cartridge to hang around my room. When I got the idea to make her sitting on a mushroom it turned into a door hanging instead :o) The background paper is from a DCWV 8x8 stack Doodlin' Around. I punched the flowers and added bling in the centers. I put mini pom poms on her slippers and added some crystal stickles to them and her wings. The swirl bling is Recollections and I just cut it apart to fit what I wanted. My name I cut out using the Tear Drop Font cartridge. The lace I got from my mom :o)

For Heather!

A good friend of mine had her little bundle of joy this evening! Baby Graham was due a few days ago and showed no interest of entering our strange world. Well... he was told he needed to come out today :o) All went well with Heather and Graham, thank you God! He is healthy and she is doing well :o) I made this to celebrate this new little man...
Welcome Graham!
Isn't he adorable!

Big hugs to Mommy Heather, Daddy John
and Big Brother Christian!

Disney Week Project #3

Welcome to Project #3

For this one I decided to make a card. I used a downloaded coloring page image and resized it to fit my card. I colored the image with my Crayola colored pencils. The background paper on this one is from my stash again and cardstock is from Recollections. The sheer lavender ribbon was purchased at my local Dollar Tree :o) I love finding ribbon in there! Tweety was my favorite character for the longest time when I was younger. In fact, my first tattoo is of tweety bird :o)

Disney Week Project #2

Welcome to my 2nd project for Disney Week :o)

I made these signs for the boys to put on the front of the dishwasher so they know who's turn it is to unload :o) I had some that we made out of fun foam and they decorated them but they started falling apart after a while. Well, I decided it was time for new ones and here they are...

All the characters were cut from the Mickey and Friends Font cartridge along with the names. The striped paper was in my scraps from a Hobby Lobby seasonal pack made by Paper Studio. All of the doodling was done with my Pentel white gel pen :o)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

Today is also the beginning of Disney Week :o) I wanted to start off with not just a character but, to incorporate Easter as well. This is what I came up with...

I totally love the way this turned out! It took a couple of different cuts from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge, the Doodlecharms cartridge and my Gypsy to accomplish this one :o) I love playing around! The paper is scraps from my stash and the cardstock is Recollections. The ric-rac ribbon is from my stash and of course I used my gel pen for her eyes.

Make sure you check out all of the great projects coming up this week from all of the participating bloggers :o) Enjoy!

Hugs!
