Remember....

For those who have fought and won in more ways than we will ever know!
For those who have fought and lost their lives, have still won!
And for those who are out there still winning!
God Bless our Country and our Military for they are the price we pay to be free.
Please join me in honoring them today and everyday!
Amen!!!!

Another wonderful award!

I received this wonderful award from Debi. Another one of the sweetest ladies I have "met" here and on YT. Thank you so much for this Debi, you are too kind :0) Big crafty hugs to you!!!!

While I am in an appreciative mood...I want to pass this award on to a very special friend of mine. I feel like we have known each other our whole lives. I also feel like she could be my sister! Not only has she helped me through some trials of not thinking my creativity was good enough, in my eyes anyway, but she has also become a very special part of my life. We are in contact almost every day and we just keep getting closer and closer. Too bad she lives in Canada!!!! Tracy...not only have you helped me learn that our creativity is all good in our own ways but, you are also one of the best friends any woman could ever have! I have grown to love you like a sister and I do so wish we were closer in living. Thank you for being so wonderful and highly talented! Big Hugs My Friend!!!!
Go check out Tracy's channel! While you are at it, check out Debi's channel also, lots of talent :0) I appreciate you all for your support and encouragement. I just hope I am able to do the same for you!

Hugs!!!!

Lego shopping!

So, we took Caleb to the Lego store and after getting there we find out that it is Grand Opening weekend. We had to stand in line for 15-20 minutes just to get in to the store. They also had a Master Lego Builder visiting to build a 3-4 foot Yoda from Star Wars :0) We never did get to see since we couldn't find where it was being built. Oh well, Caleb had fun anyway! See...

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Hugs!!!!

Sock Hop!

Here are the boys ready for the Sock Hop!

My last baby is 7 !

So...Caleb turned 7 years old this morning at 12:54 AM. I've never gone this long without having another so it feels pretty weird to me :0) I think having been blessed with all four of my boys is good enough for me though!
Today's agenda...
SOCK HOP!!!!

We are having a sock hop at school tonight, how perfect to land on his birthday. He is so excited, feeling extra special now :0)
Caleb wanted cupcakes for school this afternoon so here they are!

He picked the party hat from the doodlecharms cartridge and then picked out the colors. The back of the hats are blue.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!!! Hugs!

Danke!

Here is a Thank You card I whipped up this afternoon in between doing the icky chore of laundry, lol. This was created for my son Maverick's German teacher. This Friday is their last club meeting, :0( I can't believe it is over already. He has absolutely loved this class and this club. She is fantastic! I am going to get her a little something to go with the card also.

I used my Ashlyn's alphabet cricut cartridge for the Danke. This is why I really got this one :0) There is a lot of pretty images on here too. The paper I used is from a K&Co die cut mat pad called wild raspberry and the green behind it is from another mat pad of earth tones. The ribbon is a sheer pinkish salmon color I got from my Dollar Tree, love this ribbon!
The inside here is inspired by my friend Tracy! I've never tried inking the whole note card before but I like it, thanks Tracy! I just matted it on a solid texture cardstock from DCWV and used an EK success border punch all the way around.

Hope you have all had a wonderful day! Hugs!!!!

Teacher Gifts

Here is one of two Teacher gifts I am working on. My boys only have a few weeks left, woo hoo! You can check out the site I got this from here and my youtube video here. I used my Doodlecharms cartridge for all of the cutouts.

Here I tried to get a closer shot of the mini (1 inch) clothespins. I don't have the best camera for this but, you get the idea. They are to represent bathroom passes :0)
This is just a shot of the top. I still need to fill it up with goodies :0)

I will be making a tutorial video very soon as I put the other one together :0)  I hope you all have a terrific weekend! Hugs!!!!

Thank you so much Tracy!!!

Now I guess I am suppose to list 5 Cricut related things about me...

1. I own the black Cricut Create. I do want the expression :0)
2. I love putting all of the layers together, they look so neat when you are done
3. I currently own 18 cartridges + my Gypsy downloads
4. I love my Gypsy as much as my Cricut
5. Both my Gypsy and my Cricut were gifts from my hubby!

Thanks again Tracy...You are the best!!!

Homemade Baker's Twine video tutorial

I was able to do a video tutorial on the Baker's Twine. Just click here to go straight to my youtube to watch. Enjoy! :0)

Homemade Baker's Twine

From this...

To this...

I was browsing the internet today and I came across a video on how to make your own Baker's Twine. Very cool! This is how mine turned out. Some lines are wider than others but, oh well :0) I used Bic mark it markers for mine but, you can use whatever permanent markers you have on hand. Here is how I did it...

I cut two pieces of a cereal box the same width as my Tim Holtz ruler and taped then back to back withe my ATG adhesive. I then lined it with masking tape all the way around. In the original video she just used a ruler with masking tape but, I don't have an extra one :0) Then I wrapped the crochet thread around but, not overlapping. This can be as long as you want, mine are about 34-35 inches.
Then you take your marker and draw lines. Some colors bleed more than others so start small. Push down so the color will go through to the other side of the thread. I did one diagonally to look more like the original twine, the red one above. However you choose they both look good.
After letting it dry for a minute you unwind and here you have it! Pretty cool huh?

Give it a try! Any questions just let me know. I hope to do a video soon to show the whole process :0)

All cleaned up and ready for the next project!

Just thought I would share a photo of my workspace since I just cleaned it up after the mini's I just completed. My mom's is finished but, since she checks my blog from time to time I can not post it yet. I also want to wish all of my new Mom friends here in 'blogland' the most fantastic Mother's Day Ever! I may not be able to get up here everyday or comment on every post but, I think about you ladies all the time! It's nice to be out somewhere, see something and be able to relate it to one of you :0) I think it's really cool to be able to do that and I am so glad I have "met" you all

Big Hugs!!!!

Hello Bloggers!

Hi everyone! I have been busy working on a new type of paper bag mini :0) This idea came from Kathy Orta. Her YT is kathyorta and her blog is Paper Phenomenon. I totally fell for this mini and I finally got the chance to make one. She has a tutorial series, 10 videos, on this one. I know it sounds like, oh no that's a lot of work, but it turns out great. I have learned what I would and wouldn't do next time personally but, this is a fantastic start! Here are some pics and you can go here to see my video if you would like. Enjoy and I hope you all are having a great week so far! Hugs!!!!

All of the left hand side pages have this flap that opens up.

These are the large tags that are inside of the paper bags.
